RESTARTING ….That’s how I feel at the moment.
It’s hard to belive that the long wait is finally over. Today mark my last day as a Supply Chain and Safety, Health and Environment Manager in the tobacco related field after 7 and a half years. The feeling of moving into something totally new and the so called “unknown” is certainly not an easy feeling to handle but it’s the passion and interest which is keeping me alive.
Looking back when I first started off with my entry level DSLR ( a Nikon D50 ) around 4 to 5 years back , I would never expect this little black box would change my life entirely. Being an engineer, it’s been a second nature for us to basically study and understand everything piece of equipments that we use. Thus I’ve spent countless hours reading the user manuals, reading stuff on-line , experimenting every single buttons and functions available, youTube and flickr all day long. I guess being born in a photography loving family also helps to sparks the interest a little bit.
I started taking assignments around 3.5 years back, shooting back stage for some local artist and of course weddings for friends and close relatives. Things picked up gradually and I enjoyed every single assigments / weddings I did as well as the people who I came across. It’s like having new friends every single weekend. That aside, I feel there is nothing more rewarding that to preserve beautiful moments of a loving couple which allows them the share with the people around them. Keeping them from generation and still ..put a smile on their face when they flip through the images again after many years later.
Anyway I would like to extend a huge thanks to a bunch of wonder people who have helping me a long the way, namely Adam, Yung Yaw, Sunny, Jon Low, Huey Yee, Anna Rina, Kenneth, Zach, Jesh De Rox and last but not least my girl friend Jayce for all the endless help and support given. You guys are GREAT !
I am really excited to embark on this new journey and I certainly look forward to keep improving myself in every ways. Wish me luck : )
Who Moved My Cheese ?? I have !
Best wishes !
